Sharing contractors across workspaces
Contractors aren't tied to a single workspace — they belong to the user who added them. This matters most for property managers who work for multiple landlords: your trusted plumber follows you into every workspace you're invited to, without needing to be re-added for each one.
How it works
When you add a contractor (Tom the plumber, say), the record is owned by your user account. As soon as you join — or get invited to — another workspace, Tom appears in that workspace's contractor picker too. Workspace owners see the same Tom record you do, and any updates you make (a new phone number, a note that he covers weekends) propagate everywhere immediately.
Who can see what
A workspace owner can see and assign every contractor that any workspace member has added. So if Orla manages portfolios for both Padraig and Aisling, both Padraig and Aisling see Orla's contractors when they open their workspace. They don't see each other's contractors though — only the ones a shared member has brought in. If a landlord adds their own contractors directly, those stay scoped to that landlord (they're not shared back to the property manager unless the PM also adds them).
Editing and removal
Only the contractor's owner can edit or remove the record. If a workspace owner wants a contractor removed from their workspace alone (without affecting other workspaces the PM works in), the right move is to ask the PM to remove the contractor from the assignment list — not to delete the record.
What it isn't
Contractors are still internal records — they don't have logins to Anchorlet. The shared-across-workspaces behaviour is purely about whose roster they appear in. There's no concept of "contractor accepted into this workspace" — sharing is automatic via membership.
