Replying to issue threads

Open any issue to see its Timeline — a chronological view of every inbound email, every reply you've sent, and every internal note your workspace has posted. The composer at the bottom handles both reply types.

Reply via email

The default mode. Anchorlet pre-fills the recipient with the most recent inbound sender (usually the tenant), the subject is the issue title, and the body is whatever you type. When you click Send, the email goes out from your @anchorlet.ie alias with a special Reply-To address that routes any reply straight back to this same issue thread — so the conversation stays attached even when the tenant clicks Reply in their own mail client.

Internal note

Toggle Internal note to write a workspace-private comment instead. Notes don't get emailed to anyone — they're for your team's eyes only ("Tom confirmed he can come Tuesday morning", "Tenant said the leak is now under the floorboards"). They show up in the timeline tagged "Internal note" with a yellow highlight so they're visually distinct from emails.

Reassigning an inbound email

If an email was attached to the wrong issue, click Reassign on the inbound row in the timeline. You'll get the same searchable issue picker as the Triage view, and the email moves to the chosen issue along with a record in the workspace activity feed.

What the timeline shows

Three sources are merged in: new-style issue messages (everything since the email-routing rebuild), legacy in-app conversation messages, and internal notes from your workspace. The pre-rebuild rows are tagged Legacy so you can tell them apart from current-shape email messages.
